Help in Pakistan

A has asked me to post this all my various networks.  Luckily, no one in A’s family or his friends have been affected but naturally, he is worried about his homeland.  If you haven’t yet donated to help flood victims in Pakistan, I urge you to do so.

Support UNICEF’s disaster relief for the children of Pakistan

© REUTERS/Adrees LatifMore than 3 million people — 1 million of them children — have been affected by recent flooding in Pakistan.

Food, clean water and health supplies are desperately needed. UNICEF has already

  • provided hygiene kits, water tankers and high-energy biscuits;
  • repaired 73 tube wells benefitting 800,000 people; and
  • helped set up 24 medical camps benefitting an estimated 1 million people.

But much more remains to be done.

Use this form to make a secure, tax-deductible donation to the U.S. Fund for UNICEF, supporting UNICEF’s disaster relief efforts in Pakistan: $50, $100, $250, $500 or any amount you can give will help save kids’ lives.

If you prefer, print a form to send your donation by mail, or call 1.800.FOR.KIDS (1.800.367.5437) to donate by phone.

Funds raised in excess of needs for the present crisis in Pakistan will be used for emergency relief efforts elsewhere.
